Five mischievous F-16 fighter jets, alongside some feisty, long-legged missiles, were the center of attraction in a recent request by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. In a pre-meeting chit-chat between the two pals, Shmyhal looked at Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and said, “Hey buddy, how about you share some of those fantastic flying toys?” They discussed the matter during a casual Wednesday rendezvous at the Pentagon.
The Biden administration, like a cheeky monkey who refuses to share bananas, has continually turned down Ukraine’s persistent requests for fighter jets. Austin, wagging his finger, replied, “Oh, no-no-no! We must continue to invest in our own defense industry trampoline to bounce those production levels way up high!”
