Love, love, love. The thing that makes the world go round, amirite? Well, according to the hit Netflix show Love is Blind, it’s possible to fall in love sight unseen. Yes, you read that right. No need to worry about that pesky physical attraction nonsense, just talk to a bunch of strangers and pick one to spend the rest of your life with. Simple, right?
The show’s live reunion promised to answer all of our burning questions and serve up some piping hot tea. But, as you may have guessed, it didn’t go quite as planned. Technical problems led to a major delay and the whole thing ended up being taped instead of live-streamed. Oops.
Despite the rocky start, there was still plenty of juicy drama to be had. Contestants saw scenes they weren’t privy to during filming and accusations were thrown around about who was there for fame instead of love. There were even some heartwarming moments, like when Brett and Tiffany showed off her tendency to fall asleep on the couch.
Fans were on the edge of their seats wondering which couples were still together one year later. Drumroll, please… three couples got hitched and two went their separate ways. But the real surprise was Jackelina and Josh, who hooked up after the show and got together. A new addition to the Love is Blind family!
Kwame and Chelsea shared some marriage tips, like having your own bathroom (seriously, it’s a game-changer) and Brett showed off his impressive sneaker collection. Oh, and there were some love triangles, because what’s reality TV without some good ol’ drama? Nick Lachey himself said it was a season with a record number of love triangles. Impressive.
But perhaps the most burning question on everyone’s minds was whether any of the couples were going to have a Love is Blind baby. Vanessa asked a gazillion times (not to put pressure on anyone or anything), but it seems like we’ll have to wait for that one. Though Bartise from season 3 made a cameo with his baby boy, so there’s hope yet.
In the end, the show’s title proved to be true: love really is blind. Or maybe it’s not. Who knows? All we do know is that we’ll be glued to our screens for the next season, ready for even more dramatic love triangles and heartwarming moments. Bring it on!
