While he may have impressive arm strength and athleticism, he only has 13 college starts under his belt. Let’s hope he doesn’t choke like a badly ground coffee bean under pressure.

The Seattle Seahawks are loving life, thanks to last year’s Russell Wilson trade, which has gifted them not one, but two first-round picks. They snagged Illinois cornerback Devon Witherspoon at fifth overall, who broke up 14 passes in the Big 10 conference in 2022. They also picked up Ohio State’s receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba. A guy who caught 95 passes in 2021 but battled a hamstring injury last season. He lost his primary role to Marvin Harrison Jr, who is going to make us all feel really old.

Trading down from the third pick to the 11th, and then trading back up to the sixth, the Arizona Cardinals selected Ohio State’s Paris Johnson Jr. to boost their injury-ravaged offensive line from last season. I’m not sure how good he is, but with a name like that, he’s definitely destined for greatness.

Last, but certainly not least, the Las Vegas Raiders picked up Texas Tech’s Tyree Wilson with the seventh pick. The guy’s arms are longer than a giraffe’s neck, and when he spread them at the scouting combine, half of the press pool reached for their boarding passes. This guy could block the sun by himself.
