Well well well, Narayana Murthy, founder of Infosys, has spoken out about the latest craze- ChatGPT! Apparently, ChatGPT is the newest thing in town, and can basically do everything from essay writing to coding. It’s like the Google of chatbots. Even Chinese tech giants, Alibaba and Baidu have come out with their own version of ChatGPT. But, we’re not sure why they’d even bother when ChatGPT is already the bee’s knees, baby!
Murthy recently opened up about his opinion on ChatGPT and claimed that, while it is an excellent knowledge generator and does certain tasks, nothing beats the human mind. Move over computers; the human mind will always be king! The smartest mind on this planet is the human mind because, at the end of the day, it’s all about how you differentiate yourself from the rest. As he puts it, “If there is a competition between you and me, you will use the ChatGPT output as your base, and then you will add your own differentiation, your own smartness, your own tweaking,” He proceeded to further elaborate on this, “And that’s when the teachers will be much more impressed with you than with me.” We can all imagine our teachers being in awe of us like we’re wizards of Hogwarts, can’t we!
Despite the ChatGPT hype, Murthy isn’t worried at all. He thinks only lazy people will get average grades with ChatGPT. Us smart people, we’ll ace it by adding our creative minds to its output. “Therefore, I am not so much worried about ChatGPT.” The competition is on, kids! Who said humans can’t beat robots?
Murthy was the CEO of Infosys from 1981 to 2002. He’s impressive enough to have made it to the 13th ranking on CNBC’s 25 global business leaders who have made maximum impact on society. So clearly we should take his opinions seriously.
Infosys started with only $250 initial capital, but now it’s a huge empire! Today, the company has grown into a multi-billion-dollar brand, with a market capitalization of $62 billion and over 346,000 employees. That’s more than the population of the entire country of Iceland! Infosys provides a range of services, including business consulting, information technology, software engineering, and outsourcing services. They were also the first Indian company to be listed on the Nasdaq in March 1999 and subsequently listed on the New York Stock Exchange in December 2012. Honestly, what can’t Infosys do?
